Ribbed Carpet

Most sluices use either miner's moss or ribbed carpet and most everyone has a preferrence. The fact is though, they both work. I have moss in my combo and carpet in my sluice box. Both get gold.

Since this stuff is really just standard indoor/outdoor ribbed carpet that you can get just about anywhere for dirt cheap, I won't go into all the places you can get it online. Plus, my Internet is being a pain at the moment, so it's tough to do much poking around.

Most hardware stores or carpet shops, even remnant shops can hook you up. I would guess ribbed carpet can also be found at most upolstry shops (the last one I went to had ribbed rubber matting, so you never know...). You can pick this stuff up, cut to size, at the gold shows and it also comes up on eBay fairly often (see below for current auctions). I would guess most of the sponsors listed at right carry ribbed carpet as well, though some may be looking to sell wholesale amounts.
